2010. Garfunkel Wild, P.C. (GW) is pleased to
announce that associate Rebecca A. Edelman Levy has been
listed in the New Jersey Super Lawyers “Rising
Stars” for 2010. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of
the lawyers in the state receive this honor. The list of
“Rising Stars” for 2010 is slated to run in the April
issue of New Jersey Monthly and in New
Jersey Lawyers. Ms. Levy works out of the GW
Hackensack, NJ, office.
Ms. Levy joined GW in 2004
and is a member of the Health Care, as well as the
Compliance and White Collar Defense, practice groups.
Her practice includes the representation of hospitals
and other institutional clients with an emphasis on
regulatory compliance; physician recruitment, drafting
and negotiating contractual arrangements; and drafting
policies and procedures. In addition, she advises
various health care clients on structuring arrangements
to ensure compliance with Federal Stark and
Anti-kickback laws and the New Jersey "Codey" law. She
also handles special, limited and full guardianship
proceedings on behalf of individual and institutional
clients and counsels clients on end-of-life and
bioethical issues.
Ms. Levy received her B.A.

and her J.D. (with a certified concentration in Health
Law) from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2001.
She is admitted to the bar in both New Jersey and New
York.
In 1998, Super Lawyers
launched “Rising Stars” in Minnesota to recognize the
top up-and-coming attorneys in the state – those who are
40 years old or younger or who have been practicing for
10 years or less. Today, “Rising Stars” honors attorneys
in New Jersey, California, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois,
Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, Ohio,
Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington,
Wisconsin and Wyoming. The selection process is made
after balloting the top 5% of attorneys named as Super
Lawyers, as well as conducting extensive independent
credentials research, a blue ribbon panel process and a
final review and check of good standing.
