Named to 2010 New Jersey Super Lawyers

2010. Garfunkel Wild, P.C. (GW) is pleased to
announce that Jeffrey S. Brown, GW Partner/Director, has
been listed under the specialty of “Health Care Law” in
the 2010 edition of New Jersey Super Lawyers.
Only five percent of the lawyers in the state are named

The selections for this
esteemed list are made by the research team at Super
Lawyers, which is a service of the Thomson Reuters’
Legal Division based in Eagan, MN. Each year, the
research team at Super Lawyers undertakes a
rigorous multi-phase selection process that includes a
statewide survey of lawyers, an independent evaluation
of candidates by the attorney-led research staff, a peer
review of candidates by practice area and a
good-standing and disciplinary check. The list of
attorneys selected to New Jersey Super Lawyers
will appear in the April issue of New Jersey Monthly
and in New Jersey Lawyers.
Mr. Brown was also named to
the 2009 edition of Chambers USA. Chambers and
Partners is carefully researched and widely
considered to be among the most reputable law firm
directories.
Mr. Brown joined GW in 2001
and is a member of the Health Care, HIPAA Compliance and
Litigation/Arbitration Practice Groups. In his practice,
he represents hospitals, long-term care facilities,
physicians’ practices and other health care-related
clients. Mr. Brown was selected as a Leadership Fellow
for the State of New Jersey in which capacity he
analyzed the issue of health care in terms of its
statewide significance. He was also chosen by former New
Jersey Governor James McGreevey as a member of the
health care transition team.
A frequent speaker on health
care issues, Mr. Brown has lectured at Seton Hall
University School of Law, where he serves on the
Advisory Board of the Health Law & Policy Program. He
has also lectured before the New Jersey Association of
Health Care Facilities, Bergen County Medical Society,
Bergen County Bar Association, New Jersey Dermatologic
Society, New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal
Education, WCTC Radio and various cable television
programs.
Mr. Brown is the health care
editor of the Bergen Barrister and has published
articles in the New Jersey Law Journal, Physicians’
Group Practice Journal, New York Bar Association
Newsletter and Bergen Medicine.
