PRESS RELEASE

GW Founding Partner/Chairman Robert A. Wild
And Partner/Director Fredrick I. Miller
Recognized in 2010 Edition of The Best Lawyers in America

Great Neck, NY, September 4, 2009. Garfunkel Wild, P.C. (GW) is pleased to announce that its founding Partner/Director and Chairman Robert Andrew Wild and its Partner/Director Fredrick I. Miller were recently selected by their peers for inclusion in the 2010 edition of The Best Lawyers in America under the specialty of “Health Care Law.”

Since its inception in 1983, Best Lawyers has become universally regarded as the definitive guide to legal excellence. Inclusion in Best Lawyers is based on an exhaustive peer-review survey in which more than 32,000 leading attorneys cast almost two million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in their specialties. The publication, which does not run ads or accept payments for listings, has received accolades from the American Bar Association and has been excerpted in major U.S. metropolitan newspapers and magazines.

Robert Andrew Wild, founding Partner/Director and Chairman of GW, represents an array of national and regional health care provider institutions, companies, practitioners and not-for-profit groups, as well as clients in other industries. His practice primarily focuses on complex transactions for health care providers, including regulatory, compliance, mergers and acquisitions, antitrust, reimbursement, professional conduct issues, patient issues, real estate, graduate medical education and more. He was formerly an adjunct professor of health law at Hofstra University Law School and Asst. Clinical Professor of Health Law at Stony Brook University.

Mr. Wild has been included on the Best Lawyers list for over 10 years, as well as being selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers and Chambers and Partners as one of America’s leading business lawyers in “Health Care” in the past several years. He is a frequent lecturer and author in the field of health care law and has addressed a broad variety of professional organizations and health care providers.

He is currently Chair of the Board of United Way of Long Island and is on the Advisory Board of United Cerebral Palsy of Nassau County and on the Board of the Long Island Chapter of the American Heart Association. Mr. Wild is also a member of the Board of St. John’s Law School Alumni Association and Chair of the Audit Advisory Committee for Nassau County.

Fredrick I. Miller is a Partner/Director and head of GW’s Health Care Practice Group. He specializes in the representation of hospital and other health care providers, with emphasis on corporate governance, managed care, compliance/regulatory, third-party reimbursement and hospital/physician matters. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, NY Metropolitan Chapter, and Counsel to the NYS Health Planning Commission.

Mr. Miller has been included on the Best Lawyers list in 2009 and 2010, as well as being selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers from 2007 through 2009.
