Named Partner at Garfunkel Wild, P.C.

2009. The law firm of Garfunkel Wild, P.C.
(GW) is pleased to announce that Kevin Donoghue and
Barbara Knothe have each been named a partner of the
firm. Both Mr. Donoghue and Ms. Knothe were Senior
Attorneys, practicing out of the firm’s Great Neck, NY,
office. The appointments are effective July 1.
Mr. Donoghue joined the firm in 2001 and is a member of
the Litigation & Arbitration Practice Group that advises
clients on a host of litigation issues in both federal
and state court. He is a member of the New York State
Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
Mr. Donoghue received his B.A. from the College of the
Holy Cross and his J.D. from Fordham University School
of Law.
Ms. Knothe joined the firm in 1994 and is a member of
the Business, Finance and Real Estate, Health Care,
HIPAA Compliance and Technology Practice Groups. A
registered nurse with critical care experience, she
specializes in the representation of health care
providers, with special emphasis on general health care,
as well as regulatory and corporate transactions. Her
clients include hospitals, physicians, home health
agencies and other health industry providers.
Ms. Knothe is a member of the New York State Bar
Association, the Connecticut Bar Association and the
American Bar Association. A frequent speaker on EMTALA,
JCAHO, HIPAA and other federal and state regulatory
issues, she received her BSN from SUNY Brockport and her
JD from Pace Law School.
