Changes to the Hospital Code Allow Hospitals
More Flexibility in Credentialing |
Effective December 22, 2010,
the New York regulations have been revised to reduce the
required look-back period for medical staff
credentialing from ten years to five years. Prior to
this change, these regulations specified that hospitals
were required to query all hospitals at which a medical
staff applicant had worked or been associated for the
preceding ten years.
